What’s the Hottest Destination for High School Girls this Summer?

The MAGIC Construction Summer Camp!!

Indianapolis, Indiana (June 15 – 19, 2009) When temperatures rise to mid-June levels, many high school girls find relief at air-conditioned malls or in the clear blue waters of a swimming pool. Not the girls enrolled in the MAGIC Summer Camp!! These gals will be turning up the heat as they build skills that could lead to a career in construction!

Sponsored by the Indianapolis Chapter of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction), held at the ABC Training Facility. These campers will get first hand instruction from tradeswomen specializing in carpentry, painting, tile, and electrical skills during a weeklong program. They will also participate in a field trip to an active construction site at Crosspoint Office Center, to see how the skills they are studying are implemented in the field.

This program would not be possible without the many hosts and generous sponsorships by local construction companies that have one goal in mind . . . to introduce high school girls to the unending opportunities available to them in the construction industry.
