(Fishers, IN) October 23, 2008 – The Fishers Chamber of Commerce has awarded Meyer Najem Construction the 2008 Pillar Award for Business of the Year. This is only the second time in history that a firm has won back-to-back years, 2007 and now 2008.

The Fishers Chamber of Commerce presented the seventh annual Pillar Awards luncheon celebrating business excellence at The Forum. The event honored the outstanding businesses in the Fishers community. The four awards presented were: Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Emerging Growth and Design Appeal.

Each business that entered into the competition submitted criteria significant to its specific award category, including an application narrative providing the company's background, business growth and photographs if applicable. The Business of the Year category included prerequisites of having a business with more than 25 employees, exhibit community spirit, outstanding customer satisfaction and provide a positive economic impact. Nominees were Community Home Health Services, MacDougall Pierce Construction, St. Vincent Carmel Hospital, Sign Craft Industries, WestPoint Financial Group and Meyer Najem Construction.

The judges included some of the most prominent and successful professionals in central Indiana. This year's judges included Gerry Dick of Inside Indiana Business, Secretary of State Todd Rokita, Fishers Town Council President Scott Faultless, Wendell Seaborne of Seaborne Leadership and Steve Dillinger, County Commissioner District 2.
