The Quality, Metrics and Statistics (QMS) division of the Indiana Department of Labor has published the 2010 edition of IN Review. IN Review is the Indiana Department of Labor’s annual comprehensive study of Hoosier occupational injuries and illnesses. More than three million Hoosiers work in this great state. In 2008, 112,100 of these workers were injured or made ill, and 132 were killed, while working. With so many lives impacted in Hoosier workplaces, conveying a strong message of workplace safety and health is of the utmost importance. Our goal is to ensure that by working in Indiana, Hoosiers have a safe and healthy place to work, and that they return home safely to their families.

Please take the time to review the annual study; it is our expectation that this publication will be a useful tool in understanding worker safety and health hazards that your constituents are faced with on a daily basis.
