The Right to Work bill becomes law in Indiana
Indiana is now the 23rd state to have a Right to Work law and first one since Oklahoma in 2001. The reason ABC of Indiana chose this as a number one legislative priority was two-fold. First, we believe that workers should have the freedom to be represented by a union and support that union but also have the choice to work where they could get a job or keep that job without joining, paying dues, or be represented by a union. Second, we believe this law will spark economic growth in Indiana. This growth would be the engine that will drive companies to expand and new ones to re-locate in Indiana providing a shot in the arm to the construction industry who will construct the facilities.
ABC of Indiana was part of a key group of business organizations to drive the support for this legislative effort.
